There is so much to do for families in the area but if you are a bit overwhelmed in deciding what to try out, I've listed some of my top picks that I might like to do for the month...to view ALL of my recomendations visit www.MasonMETU.com.

There is so much to do for families in the area but if you are a bit overwhelmed in deciding what to try out, I've listed some of my top picks that I might like to do for the month - not to say that we'll actually get to all of them (I think we'd have to be super-human to do that), but it would be something that sounds interesting or fun. So if we can't get there, we hope that you can!

Please check back regularly since I will continually update the monthly top picks if I read about a family friendly activity or event.








Feb. 18 - "A Family of Strings, A World of Music" (Young People's Concert series) - Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. www.cincinnatisymphony.org. (513-381-3300). For grades 1-4.

Feb. 22 - Sunday Family Skates - Fountain Square, downtown on 5th & Vine. 10am-2pm. $2.50 to skate & $2.50 for skate rental but FREE skating for ages 11 and under! www.myfountainsquare.com.

Thaddeus Rex – Read Like a Rock Star !! -

A PBS veteran and award winning songwriter, Thaddeus Rex’s unique blend of high octane music and contagious enthusiasm will get your K-5 students excited about reading. His web site even includes a writing contest that Fox 19 called “ American Idol meets Creative Writing”.

Feb. 28 - The Wizard of Oz - 8 pm - performed by the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. www.cincinnatipops.org (513-381-3300). Tickets: $20 children. Grab fee popcorn in the lobby and hear the Oscar-winning score by the CPO while watching the movie on the big screen.
